Echo Development | Adult Mental Health First Aid

Baltimore CONNECT is proud to have Echo Resource Development, Inc. as our mental health training partner, offering impactful programs to strengthen community knowledge and support.

Our next joint training is Adult Mental Health First Aid, an in-person course designed to equip community members, educators, leaders, and caregivers with the skills to provide initial support to adults facing mental health challenges or crises.

Why Attend?

Participants will gain practical tools to:

  • Recognize the signs and symptoms of conditions such as depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders.

  • Approach someone in need with confidence and compassion.

  • Apply the ALGEE Action Plan to assess, listen nonjudgmentally, give reassurance, and connect to professional resources.

  • Support individuals during crises, including panic attacks, suicidal ideation, and self-harm situations.

  • Promote self-care and resilience for both the helper and the individual.

What to Expect in the Training

  • Interactive learning through group discussions, role-play, and live Q&A with certified instructors.

  • Supplementary resources and a certificate of completion.

  • A safe, stigma-free environment to ask questions and build skills.
