Meet Mrs. Janice, a dedicated community advocate with over 50 years of service to the North Wolfe St. Community in East Baltimore. Her wealth of experience has equipped her to build bridges and nurture meaningful connections, all aimed at enhancing the quality of life for her neighbors.

As Vice President and co-chair of the Dream Team, Janice lives out her passion for uplifting her community. She believes in the power of inclusive planning, where every voice matters. For Janice, the most rewarding aspect of her work is engaging with people on a personal level. She takes the time to listen, to understand their priorities, family needs, and the services they require.

In her role as the gatekeeper of resources for East Baltimore families, Janice follows a set of guiding principles that have proven to be crucial for success:

1. Treat Others with Respect: Janice firmly believes in treating others the way she wants to be treated, fostering a culture of mutual respect.

2. Embrace Transparency: Openness, honesty, and transparency are non-negotiable for Janice. She ensures that all community engagements maintain these values.

3. Address Real Needs: Janice emphasizes the importance of identifying and addressing the genuine needs of the people, prioritizing their well-being over personal agendas.

4. Meet People Where They Are: Janice understands the significance of meeting people where they are, without imposing false expectations or intimidating statistics.

5. Humanize Interactions: Each person Janice encounters is treated with dignity and respect, never as mere objects.

6. Empower Youth: Janice actively involves the youth in meaningful ways, recognizing their potential to contribute to community growth and development.

Through Janice's leadership and adherence to these principles, the North Wolfe St. Community continues to thrive. Her unwavering commitment to serving others has made her a beacon of hope and a catalyst for positive change in East Baltimore.
